Overcoming JEALOUSY

Hello my friends,

today I want to talk with you about a topic many of us struggle with: Jealousy.

I want to focus on jeaolousy in relationships, because that is where we experience it the most.

Jealousy is a natural feeling.

The definition from the website merriam-webster.com is:

an unhappy or angry feeling caused by the belief that someone you love (such as your husband or wife) likes or is liked by someone else.

or

an unhappy or angry feeling of wanting to have what someone else has.

Why do I feel this way?

What you should always ask yourself is the reason why you are jealous. Very often the emotion shows you inner desire and your insecurities.

When you are super jealous if a women talks to your boyfriend, ask yourself why exactly you are so mad about it. 🤬

Do you think that he is more attracted to her than to you? Do you think that you will loose him easily or that you are not pretty enough?

Finding out about your thoughts can be very surprising. But the step is very necessary to understand yourself.

Know your worth

I struggled myself with jealousy in a relationship, 🤭 but now nothing can really bother me that much. I learned to understand that I can never control behaviour and thoughts of friends, boyfriends- my environment. When a beautiful women obviously flirts with my men, I don’t feel threatened, because I know what my worth is. A men can be very lucky to be with me 👸🏾(sounds cookie, but if you say that to yourself, it can boost up your selfesteem) I list up all the good traits that I have and I instantly feel calm and content with myself. Always know your worth, and remeber the reasons, why your partner fell in love with you in the first place. There is only One version of you.

Talk it out

I had a friend, who was really jealous about my other friend. She had the feeling that I would replace her with the other girl. But the truth was, she could never be replaced. My love for her was totally different then from the other girl. I was happy that she was honest with me. It helped me understand her feelings.

Unfortunately, her jealousy and envy costed us the friendship.

The moral of the little story is, that it is good and necessary to talk to the person who makes you act a different way. Who brings up jealousy.

When you hide your feelings, no one can help you.

Are you a jealous person?

What do you do for getting rid of the emotion.

I go by the name of Jenny. I noticed that I always felt nervous and often exhausted during the day because I had so many things to do. I imagined my life with kids and how it will be when I am an Entrepreneur. The factor TIME will even be more prescious! Obviously WE dont need to feel that way all the time. I will talk about my journey of selfcare and how I become calm while I am exploring the world and learn about other cultures. I hope we can learn from each other through posts and comments. Enjoy reading! Jenny

  1. Great article. It’s a loaded topic that unfolds into numerous related topics. For me, overcoming jealousy meant being still and understanding why a person triggered me. Understanding what were these emotions I felt. It forced me to address my insecurities and trauma in order to figure out how to move forward. I also appreciate you sharing your friend expressed her feelings to you. Though her jealousy resulted in the end of the friendship, she was honest and you didn’t describe her as an irrational or envious person. You gave her the benefit of the doubt.

  2. Hey Bella, I am always happy to see your engagement☺️

    thank you!
Jealousy is horrible but natural. Like you said, it says alot about yourself and it can help show the truth about others and yourself.

We learn and we progress 🙏🏾
